Leather is supple, kind of like a lambskin feel. The jacket feels very nicely made with sturdy feeling zippers, nice stitching, and some decent weight to it. The jacket has that nice slight scent of leather.I'm 5' 6" about 160, I have about a 40" chest & 34" waist. I bought a large, cause my arms and shoulders, while not huge, do have some bulk. The jacket fits snugly around that area and a bit looser than I would like around the mid-section; which is probably about true to size for a large.Overall though, I am happy with the jacket. I would say, if you have larger arms and shoulders--but really like a snug jacket all around, this may not work. Again, I am not a muscle head, but if I had ordered a medium I think it would have been perfect for my mid-section and waist, but WAY small for arms and shoulders.With the softness of the leather, and the non-taper, it's more like a "crossover" look between a biker & yuppie jacket as opposed to a strict biker one.
